The historical city of Behbahan in southwestern Iran has been scheduled to open a festival of daffodils later this month.
Khuzestan Province’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department recently announced that it will sponsor the event on January 18, 2017.
The program also involves a night of Persian poetry, arts and crafts exhibition, short-film screening session, and photography contest.
Behbahan is splendidly embellished with large charming daffodil fields that absorb a lot of wintertime travelers every year.
Located in Iran’s Khuzestan Province, Behbahan and its adjacent regions host a number of ancient monuments belonging to the Sassanid period (224 to 651 AD) and Elamite era (2700 to 539 BC).
